A grade 6 student of B.M.M.V, Shashika Yasas Sri Dissanayaka has won a bronze medal from the International Science and Mathematics Olympiad held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
At first a training pool was selected provincially from the Grade 5 examination results. After 3 month period of training, he won a gold medal from the National Science and Maths Olympiad Competition. Students from the science section and another 3 students from the maths section joined him for the journey.
